Apparently Facebook is at it again…changing things around.
Yesterday I was looking at my changed around timeline and I came across a note I had written a little over 4 years ago.
I thought it was kind of cool and that I would post the 2009 version while I work on the 2013 version. I’ll post that one next Wed. so if you’d like to do it too and link up with me…come back next week! I’d love to learn more about you!
25 Random Things from 2009
1. I have a southern accent even though I grew up on the south side of Indianapolis.
2. I was a cheerleader my freshman year of high school and hated it.
3. I played on the tennis team the rest of high school and loved it. Francie, Jenni and I got in so much trouble, but I don’t think I ever laughed harder.
4. I changed my major for college before I ever went to college. I changed it to Special Education for the Hearing Impaired.
5. I was never comfortable as a Deaf Ed teacher teacher because I doubted my signing abilities.
6. I LOVED being a 1st grade teacher. I felt as if I’d found what I was supposed to do with my life. I miss it every day, but it was the hardest job I’ve ever had.
7. I was the singles coordinator at the JCC for a year.
8. My parents divorced when I was 5.
9. I went to Catholic school for 7 years simply because the bus would take me to Rosie’s house.
10. My sister was the best thing my dad ever did for me.
11. My dad died of a stroke when I was 12 weeks pregnant with Connor. It was a very dark time. I found out things about him a daughter should never have to know.
12. I met my husband on Match.com.
13. I’ve trained for three marathons and only finished one.
14. I hate living in S. Austin because I only have one friend down here and she wants to move too. (We moved 3 months later.)
15. My wedding was the best it could possibly have been…even with the Cat Fancier convention in the next room. We don’t regret anything about it. It was beautiful!
16. I was seven weeks pregnant the day we got married.
17. Connor is the best thing I’ve ever done. I stare at him all the time and am amazed by how beautiful he is.
18. I am sooooo thankful that I get to stay home with him and see each milestone as it happens.
19. I have an almost 14 yr old Min. Schnauzer and an almost 2 yr old Beagle.
20. I put a shock collar on my beagle to try and stop her from eating the schnauzer’s poo. It doesn’t always work.
21. I can’t believe Connor is almost one. (I can’t believe he’s 5 now!)
22. The first time I met Dave’s mom I had to sit in the backseat of a car with her for almost 5 hours. I won big points with Dave’s siblings for that one.
23. I want an iphone…I’m the gadget person in our marriage, but I think AT&T charges too much for their monthly plan so I don’t get one. (I still think they charge too much but I couldn’t live without it.)
24. I hope we sell our house soon and that we find renters soon for our RR house.
25. I’m almost 6 weeks pregnant. (This was Evan who is now 3.5!)
I hope you enjoyed the list…and looking back at an under 40 me…as much as I did!
Come back next week and check out what’s changed in 4 yrs!
