Last week I posted a list I found in the archives of FB that was a list of 25 random things about me from 2009.
I thought it would be fun to update the list.
25 Random Things About Me – 2013
- My favorite flower is the tulip.
- I’m allergic to cardboard.
- I love to get my nails done, but rarely do.
- I LOVE gadgets…and I’m the techie in my marriage…to an electrical engineer.
- I want to be WAY more crafty than I can actually pull off.
- I can still do cartwheels…in my head.
- I love TV…even though I rarely spend time with it.
- I am addicted to Pretty Little Liars.
- My first concert was Huey Lewis and the News.
- I started flying alone, round trip twice a year, as a child at the age of 6.
- I always touch the side of the airplane as I’m getting on for luck and as I’m getting off to say thank you.
- I was a teacher for 14 years before staying home with the boys.
- My first teaching job, at 22, was in Brownsville, TX, 3 miles from the Mexico border.
- I have lived in Texas for 19 years.
- I was diagnosed with IBS at the age of 19 and 20 yrs later have discovered it’s probably a gluten intolerance.
- I prefer to listen to audiobooks rather than read an actual book.
- My favorite genre is paranormal.
- I don’t like books or movies that make you think…I use these as an escape and want a happy ending!
- I dream of being a children’s book author.
- I weighed exactly the same both days I gave birth.
- I lost a pregnancy unexpectedly at 16 weeks. Then 9 months later I chose to end a pregnancy at 21 weeks because we discovered the baby had Trisomy 18 and would not have lived.
- We’ve officially been on the list to adopt a little girl (18m or younger) from China for almost 10 months and have been told to expect to wait 12 months before being matched with one. Then it will be another 4-7 months before we travel to get her.
- I get asked almost everyday if my kids are twins (they are 19 months apart and one is a head taller than the other).
- I let my kids watch tv in the car because I can’t stand the constant questioning.
- I have a tattoo that I tell my kids is a “stamp” when they ask.
