Have you heard of ABCmouse.com Early Learning Academy? If not, then you are totally missing out if you have a 3-6 yr old because this program is not only fun, but educational too.
We actually used ABCmouse.com last year when we were first getting into trying to find an online curriculum for Connor. He absolutely loved it and asked to play it often.
I liked it too. He was able to work independently on activities that reinforced Kindergarten skills. For each activity that he completed, he would receive “tickets” that he could spend in a “shop.” He really loved this and liked to spend his tickets in the Pet Shop on fish and hamsters.
Learning Path
You choose a level from 1-6 for your child to start on (this can always be adjusted). They are then given a learning path that is set in a habitat. They work through their activities, but also get a chance to learn about the different animals that live in each of the habitats.
My kids love animals. Connor learned so much about different animals just by clicking around in each habitat. They can also go into the Zoo and the Farm to learn about those animals too.
I was impressed with how quickly Connor’s computer skills developed also. He was able to navigate around this program with no problem very quickly.
When I got the chance to review it again this year, we started Evan (3.5 yrs old) on it and he loves it too. I’m excited to have an educational program that Evan can work on while Connor’s at school in the Fall. (I think it’s going to be a hard transition for Evan not having Connor around.)
