Franklin Fibs
Franklin Fibs by Paulette Bourgeois and Brenda Clark is another classic tale in the Franklin series.
Franklin’s friends are really good at things and he gets a little jealous. He wants to show that he’s good at something too so he tells an outlandish fib that he knows he can’t do. He friends bring him the flies so he can show he can do it, but he says he has a sore throat. He tries to find a way out of this fib, but finally ends up confessing.
Book Activities
1. Coloring Pages – I found a site that has 36 Franklin coloring pages.
2. Fibbing Writing Activity – Talk with you child about what “fibbing” is and why it can be harmful to their relationships. Have them draw a picture of a really outrageous fib and then write two sentences about what the fib is and what they should have said instead.
3. Watch the Video – Franklin is also a tv show. Here’s the link to this book on the show.
Franklin Books
