Surf Sharks

Surf Sharks: The First Ride by Shelley and Chance Wolf is a fun new picture book about surfers and sharks making friends.

Three young sharks, Hemi, Talon and Mavrik, decide to go up to watch the surf contest that’s going on even though all the signs and rules say they shouldn’t. While they’re out playing in the waves when Hemi gets caught in a net.

Luckily three of the young surfers, Wade, Ozzy and Rip, see the shark is in trouble and go out to help. But just as they get Hemi free, a big wave comes. The wave is so strong it breaks their boards and knocks Rip around. Mavrik saves him and they discover the fun of surfing together.

Since the surfers can’t use their boards for the contest, they decide to work together to try something a little different.
