A couple of months ago I got the chance to review the book Miracle Man by William J. Leibowitz.
It sounded like it might be right up my husband’s alley (and I’m always on a hunt to find things to get him to turn off the Military channel) so I asked him if he’d help me out and review it for me.
Miracle Man
Here’s what my husband had to say about the book:
Miracle Man is the fictional tale of Dr. Robert Austin. Starting from a tragic, heart wrenching birth, the book relays the trials of growing up with the most phenomenal intellect humanity has ever seen. Austin becomes a leading and reclusive mind in the scientific community – turning his efforts to the betterment of mankind with amazing results. But his successes draw the ire of established powers and he earns his share of enemies, the most dangerous of which is revealed only at the end.
When I asked him if he liked it he said:
Yes, I did enjoy it – some of it’s a bit far fetched, but its fiction and its fun. So he’s abandoned by his birth parents – in a dumpster and when he finds out, it has an impact on him and everyone else who finds out. They see it as a major stigma and try to hide it – I really didn’t get that feeling, since we have a child who was abandoned and I just don’t see it as a stigma – it made me wonder what others think about our situation.
He also told me that he thinks I’d really like it, especially since it has this whole abandonment issue in it.
Miracle Man is out on Kindle so you can download it now and read it for less than $5. (Most of the reviews there are 5 star too!) I can’t wait to read it myself.
