This is a sponsored post for Gaiam TV. I was compensated for this post but these are 100% my honest opinions.

What does it mean to be happy?

I’ve been wondering a lot about that lately. What brings me happiness? It’s been a rough couple of years, but it seems that 2013 may be our year. We’re half way through the adoption process. The boys are getting smarter and stronger every day. Dave has a job he loves. I have a growing business in this blog. I think it’s time to really stop and appreciate what all we’ve got and focus on being happy.

When I came across the opportunity to work with Gaiam TV I jumped at it. I really enjoy doing yoga and I know that Gaiam makes some of my favorite yoga videos.

They have a new 30 day challenge called Connect 2 Happiness. Each day you receive a new “challenge” to help you get happy. Some of them have been a little hard for me to do (sitting quietly isn’t something I naturally do) but others I have really enjoyed. Day 3 gives you a link to a workout on Gaiam TV and a free 10 day trial of their streaming video service. It’s a quick 20 minute workout and I was definitely a little sore the next day (which means I needed it). I’ve only gotten through 6 days so far, but I’m enjoying it.

But what I’m most enjoying is the access to thousands of documentaries and exercise videos that comes with the streaming video subscription to Gaiam TV. When you search the yoga section, you get 461 titles. I could do a different yoga video every day of the year! Plus they have 472 titles in their fitness section. If I can’t meet my goal of losing 10 lbs this year  then I’m not really trying. This service is typically $9.95 per month (no contracts) which I feel is a great deal. I would have to pay that for one video, but by having the subscription I have access to hundreds of exercise videos plus the other videos and documentaries they have available.

Try the 30 day Connect 2 Happiness challenge at Gaiam TV and see how you feel.
