I am bound and determined to figure out couponing. This skill has eluded me for years, but now that we are paying for 3 kids to go to school…I NEED to learn this skill!

Last week I did a post of my top 5 favorite (currently) Couponing 101 sites.

This week I decided that I’d start slow. Each site pretty much recommended the same starting point – CVS. And since they just built a new one 1 mile from our house…I thought that was a perfect starting point.

I scoured my coupons and some of the “recommened deals” from my favorite coupon sites and headed in.

Couponing at CVS – Week 1

This week you can earn one $10 ExtraBuck coupon (just like a cash coupon that you can use toward almost anything in the store).

Deal 1:

4 packages of Pampers Diapers ($8.99 each)

Use these coupons –

– $2 off Pampers Baby Dry (print 2 here – your limit)

– $2 off Pampers Baby Dry (I think I got these out of the P&G 9/28 insert)

Makes your total $27.96 out of pocket but since you earn $10 extrabucks.

So I really got them for $17.96 or $4.49 each package!

Deal 2:

This was the deal I got today!

2 9-packs of Charmin toilet paper ($5.99 each)

– use 2 $.25 coupons (print here)

2 6-packs Bounty paper towels ($8.99 each)

– use 2 $.25 coupons (print here)

Makes your total out of pocket $28.96 but you earn $10 in extrabucks.

So my total was really $18.96 or $4.61 each!

Deal 3:

I also bought 2 bottles of Jergens lotion ($7.49 each)

– use 2 $1.50 off coupons (I got from the 10/5 Smart Source insert)

Makes your out of pocket $11.98 but you get $4 extrabucks back

So I really paid $3.99 for each!

I hope this helps you get started too! I’ll try and post the deals I’ve found each week or so! You can start by getting 2 copies of your local paper eat Sunday, writing the date on the front of the coupon inserts and saving them.

Have you tried couponing at CVS before?
