I’m sure y’all are just as obsessed with all the DIY projects on Pinterest as I am (just agree here).

Anyway, I had an idea for one, or maybe I saw it on Pinterest, or maybe a bit of both.

Let’s back up a bit…my husband is building me an “office” in the downstairs closet so I can have all of my crafty, business, organization stuff in a nice ORGANIZED place. There was some discussion on Facebook on what color to go with…eventually gray was the choice color because the room is yellow and gray with yellow accents would look AWESOME!

So I got to thinking about what I could do with the closet doors to maximize the space.

Of course there’s the over-the-door shoe organizer idea where I can use the shoe pockets for storage. And the spice rack idea where I can store paints and bottles.

But I also want to put up some cork board so I can have an idea center.

But it needs to be cute, right?

I found some Contact Paper Cork at Target for about $10 and grabbed an old picture frame.

This seriously took 5 minutes to do.

I measured out the contact paper cork to fit the back board of the frame, cut, peeled and stuck.

Couple of suggestions:

  • Hot glue a piece of cardboard to the back board of the picture frame to make it thick enough for a push pin to stick
  • Or double up on the contact paper to make it thick enough for a push pin
  • Spray paint the frame any color to spice it up

Post pics here on my FB page when you try it for yourself!
