I must admit…the idea of having at least one kid home with me for the next 3 three months scares the HELL out of me! We can’t make it the 2 hours from the time they get home from school until dinner without some massive drama…how am I going to survive 3 months (and actually work to)?
The only way to do it is to have a plan…and put them to work!
Free Printable Chore Charts
Carrie has done it again with her super useful printables….and I found these just in time for summer. Hopefully they’ll help us survive.
I like this first one because it has a place on the side to move the sticky notes to when you’re done…so it all stays on one page.
I like this one because has clear lines for each person…also it’s just pretty and fun…and a good excuse to go to the office store to buy colorful sticky notes.

Chores by Age
I thought it also might be helpful to gather some sites that give you an idea of chores by age.
Sports Mom Survival Guide has a chart for kids from 2-12 plus an interesting “instant gratification” chore chart.
Frugal Fun 4 Boys has not only a list of chores by age, but she’s got them broken down by room.
Kids Activities Blog has a list of chores from 2-14.
Your Modern Family also has a list by age, but she also lists some of their specific chores on note cards and has the kids choose a chore card depending on age (3-4 yr olds choose 1; 5-6 yr olds choose 2). This might be a great way to match up the chore charts with the chores.
