When I was teaching, one of my students’ favorite things was to talk about the current vocabulary for the coming holiday.
We had lists in the room and did lots of writing and activities with them until it was time to move on to the next set.
Since Connor is now about the age of the students I used to teach, I thought I’d try some of these activities on him with this Easter vocabulary sheet.
Easter Vocabulary
I worked hard to come up with 25 different Easter vocabulary words to make this a little more challenging for Connor.
First, I had him cut out and color the eggs (I dug out my old Carson Dellosa Clip Art book from my college days for this one!).
Then I reminded him how to do ABC order if 2 words start with the same letter. He did really well. He got kind of caught up in the c’s, but all in all he did well.
Next time we dig out these words, we’ll use them to write a story. I’ll have him pick 3 words and write a few sentences about them.
I also made this fun Easter writing prompt for him. He loved the one for St. Patrick’s Day so much, I thought I’d continue with some other holidays.
You can also get one writing prompt for each month (in this style) by signing up for my mailing list. I promise…just great ideas in your inbox…nothing else!
