Ok so I admit that it took me a little while to jump on the adult coloring bandwagon, but I’m there…so I’m going to bring you with me (because who wants to color alone?).

I’m getting ready to start a new class (you know I’m always taking classes) and this one is on creating coloring books! So I thought I’d get a jump on things and start playing around before my class starts to see what kinds of patterns I like.

Friday Freebie Coloring Page - This fun free printable is sure to keep you busy activating your creative side and disengaging from technology!

Coloring Page

Adult coloring books have really caught on in the last year. I think it’s because 1) it takes you back to a basic level of just focusing on creating and having fun 2) it disengages us from technology and 3) studies are showing that the brain reacts similarly to meditation by blocking negative thoughts.

I’m really excited to see what kinds of things I can create that we can color!

I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I have!

I recommend that you print this out on basic cardstock at the minimum. I am using a thicker 110lb cardstock these days to make sure that I can use different kinds of markers that don’t bleed through. But you will be safe with your basic Crayola markers or even colored pencils if you don’t want to do the heavier weight stuff.

I also like to have a mix of thick and fine point markers too so I can outline with the thin and then go over the insides with the thicker (but important to stick with the same brand of markers for that so the colors are matched).

Check back next Friday for another fun printable and be sure and check my other free printables here on the site.
