Every second and fourth Thursday, I host a story time at the local toy store, Toy Time.

This week we read Froggy’s First Kiss which was perfect for the mostly 2 year old crowd.  It has a couple of repetitive phrases that they got to join in on and then we did a quick craft and ate popcorn!

2 Year old heaven!

Froggy’s First Kiss Snack Bags

We made little snack bags with Froggy on them holding his special Valentine.

I found some little white craft bags, punched out a few hearts using a craft punch and then printed out a few Froggy’s from The PaperBag Teachers’ that we cut out and glued to our bags.

Then we filled them with popcorn for the perfect pre-nap snack!

Here are some more sites with fun activities for Froggy’s First Kiss:

Frog Craft – Mrs. Black’s Bees has a cute frog craft plus writing idea.

Sight Word Book – Mrs. Black’s Bees also has a cute sight word printable book that it sure to be a favorite.

Story Sequencing – Pitner’s Potpurri has a freebie to help you retell the story through sequencing.

Follow my Valentine’s board for more fun activities…

Kids in the Kitchen

Did you have fun in the “kitchen” this week? Did you try a new food or a new kid friendly restaurant? Did your littlest ones use their snacks to count to 10? We invite you to share your experiences, photos, stories or recipes that include your #kidsinthekitchen. Come join me and my co-hosts Melinda at Look What Mom Found, Paula at Frosted Fingers and Sara at Sensibly Sara, each week linking up a post, new or old, that feature the theme Kids in the Kitchen. It doesn’t matter what you are doing as long as you are doing it together, enjoying it and learning something along the way.
