When our family first moved to this house, the dishwasher was disgusting enough to make us rethink the decision.
We had heard that Pflugerville had hard water, but our glasses were actually not clear any more. There were also layers of film on the walls of the dishwasher and I had no idea how to remove hard water stains.
One year later and MANY, MANY dish washing detergents and additives later…we bought a whole new dishwasher.
And then, after a few months, our new dishwasher started to show the same signs of grunge on it and the dishes.
I started making our own dish detergent to see if that would help and one of the recipes said to use Lemi Shine if you have hard water.
Within a couple of washes of using it, all of the gunk that had built up on the walls of the new dishwasher had melted away.
Our dishes were coming out clear and clean and I felt safe letting my family eat off them again without being rinsed.
