I am writing this post in exchange for a discounted conference ticket; however, all opinions are mine and mine alone. #SoFabUOTR #cbias
One of my BIG goals for this year is to get out from behind my computer (and out of the house) and meet more bloggers. This means I need to find out where those bloggers are hanging out first.
My friend Carrie from CarrieElle and I decided this year’s SoFabU On The Road event in Dallas on May 30th would be a great way to meet other bloggers, learn more about working with brands and hangout with each other! WIN-WIN-WIN!
SoFabU On The Road
I’m super excited! I’ve been working a lot with Social Fabric (aka Collective Bias) lately on some great posts (have you seen my Kool-Aid Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes?) and I’m looking forward to hearing more great tips about partnering with brands.
This conference will be held on May 30th at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Dallas with some great sponsors like: Johnny Rockets, Müller, Kraft and iBl
What we’ll be doing:
Speaker – Randi Dukes is the founder and creator of Dukes and Duchesses, a craft and DIY blog that has grown from a hobby into a business over the last few years. Randi loves creating sponsored content for companies and has worked with many large brands including Better Homes and Gardens, Michaels, and The Home Depot. Randi is passionate about using social media to promote and monetize her site and has developed strategies that have brought consistent growth in her social media platforms and steady, increasing traffic to her site. She has over half a million combined followers on her various social media channels. Randi has previously spoken at Haven Conference and loves sharing with and encouraging other bloggers. Regularly featured on sites such as Today, Country Living, and Buzzfeed, Randi enjoys inspiring people with simple seasonal and everyday projects. Randi lives in Dallas with her husband, five kids, and a very dirty dog.
How to Use Social Media to Drive Blog Traffic – Attendees will learn the secrets of using social media platforms {Facebook, twitter, google plus, pinterest, and instagram} to build an audience and drive traffic to their site. Whether a brand new blogger or a proficient user of social media, you’ll learn tips and tricks for branding your social media platforms, finding your voice, increasing social media followers, enhancing engagement, and forming a lasting social media strategy and presence on all platforms.
Adventure – They’re planning a video, photography, instagram tour which will be announced later this week.
Networking – They’ll also have networking, brands and other learning opportunities (check out the agenda on the SoFabUOTR website!)
I’m really looking forward to it and if you’re interested in finding out how you can part of this fun day with us or at another event (they’ll be in NYC, Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta and Bentonville after Dallas), just go here to register.
Are you going to any conferences this year?
