It’s that time of year again…Chili Time!
But if your kids are like mine…they won’t eat anything remotely good!
One day I started combining things I thought they liked (you never know because that changes from day to day).
Then I put it on a plate…making sure that most stuff wasn’t touching each other…and they ate it! (I admit I made some corn muffins too and bribed them with those.)
Chili Recipe
1 can black beans
1 can red beans
1 can diced tomatoes
1 lb ground beef
packet of taco seasoning
tortilla chips
shredded cheese (optional)
avocado (optional)
sour cream (optional)
corn muffin mix
Directions
Brown the ground beef. Add the cans of tomatoes, black and red beans plus the browned ground beef to a pot on medium heat. Mix in 1/2 packet of taco seasoning. Heat for 20 minutes and serve.
Kids in the Kitchen
Did you have fun in the “kitchen” this week? Did you try a new food or a new kid friendly restaurant? Did your littlest ones use their snacks to count to 10? We invite you to share your experiences, photos, stories or recipes that include your #kidsinthekitchen. Come join me and my co-hosts Melinda at Look What Mom Found, Paula at Frosted Fingers and Sara at Sensibly Sara, each week linking up a post, new or old, that feature the theme Kids in the Kitchen. It doesn’t matter what you are doing as long as you are doing it together, enjoying it and learning something along the way.
