A few weeks ago I mentioned that I was having some trouble getting Maddi to eat anything.
Since then I’ve had a few small victories. She’ll eat Chick Fil A chicken nuggets and hot dogs…and if you consider those forms of protein…then she’s eating some protein. LOL
I’ve also gotten some fruit and vegetables in her in the form of baby food…but I figure going back to the beginning is probably the only way I’m going to get her to eat any of that stuff.
This week I thought I’d try and make a “treat” and trick her into eating something good…and IT WORKED!
Ingredients:
1 packet of Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal
Vanilla Yogurt
Granola
Banana
Directions:
1. Make the oatmeal according to the package.
2. Put the oatmeal in the freezer for 10 minutes.
3. Take the oatmeal out and make 2 layers in the cup of oatmeal, yogurt, granola.
4. Then top with a slice of banana and put back in the freezer for 10 more minutes.
5. Serve
Kids in the Kitchen
Did you have fun in the “kitchen” this week? Did you try a new food or a new kid friendly restaurant? Did your littlest ones use their snacks to count to 10? We invite you to share your experiences, photos, stories or recipes that include your #kidsinthekitchen.
Come join me and my co-hosts Melinda at Look What Mom Found, Paula at Frosted Fingers and Sara at Sensibly Sara, each week linking up a post, new or old, that feature the theme Kids in the Kitchen. It doesn’t matter what you are doing as long as you are doing it together, enjoying it and learning something along the way.
