The last two days I’ve managed to get a bow in her hair and distract her enough to keep it there for longer and longer periods of time!
She’s not a fan of the dogs, but Sophie is a little calmer than the other two, so she has started to be ok with her.
Learning English?
I will admit…I learned very little Chinese while we were there. I can say no, hello and thank you.
So I have NO CLUE if Maddi is speaking Chinese or baby-ese or what…but she is learning English.
She’s learned signs very quickly and loves to copy.
She can sign quite a few things: please, thank you, more, eat, drink, cracker, bye-bye, shake her head no, shake her head yes…probably a few more, but my sleep deprived brain can’t come up with them right now.
She understands some English words…and has started to say some.
In this first video, she’s showing she’s learned to say “Whoa”.
She’s very polite (when she wants to be) and signs please and thank you. In this second video, she’s also started to say thank you.
In this third video she shows off a little dance move I didn’t know she had!
We’ve had a few rough nights, but last night we actually got a bit more sleep. Hopefully we’re on the way to a routine and MUCH more sleep for Maddi and Mommy!
