Last month we wanted to go to DFW to see my cousin and aunt and uncle, so we decided to make a weekend out of it and take the boys to the Legoland Discovery Center in Grapevine Mills Mall.
To say they loved it…would be a massive understatement.
I had fun too because I got to meet one of my blogging buddies, Carrie from CarrieElle.com.
Things to Do
The Legoland in Grapevine is just basically a big play place in the mall. It will take you about 2 hours to do the whole thing, but will give you lots to talk about for weeks!
When you first walk in there’s a ride that you go on. You get to shoot at different things on the walls and earn points. It’s fast but fun.
Then you walk into the main room.
There’s a climbing room, a place to build things on an Earthquake table, a couple more little rides and some for bigger kids that mine were too young for (they really wanted to do the Forest Ranger pursuit, but you have to be between 40″ and 60″ tall to do that one).
There were a couple of rooms with giant Lego displays of DFW in one room and Star Wars in the other. I cannot imagine how many Legos those took.
They also have a 4D Cinema. While we were there, the movie was a Chima movie (where they splash you), but now I think it’s Star Wars.
If you purchase tickets online they are $16.25 for an adult and $11.25 for a child, but we had a special code (139908) that I used when we purchased our tickets (if you go to legoland.com/WB2013 you should be ok without the code) and got them for $19 for 1 adult AND 1 child! This code is good through 12/31/2014.
If you’re in the DFW area, or planning on taking a quick trip there, this is the perfect place for little (and bigger) Lego lovers!
PS – They also have these Legoland Discovery Centers in Kansas City, Atlanta, and Chicago so if you live near one of these cities, the coupon code should work for you too!
