Ok, ok..let’s get it out of the way “pfirst”. Yes, I live in a town named Pflugerville (the p is silent). And so do a little over 50,000 other people believe it or not! It’s a great little town that’s just east of Austin, TX and south of Round Rock (Between a rock and a weird place is one of our mottos!)
We have lots of “pfun” things to do here in Pflugerville (one of our “pfavorite” things to do though is to start all words that begin with an “f” with a “pf”), but the crown jewel would be our very own local toy store, Toy Time.
In 2011, Rob and Rachel Sides decided that they would be the ones to bring this “pfabulous” little place to Pflugerville. They wanted to offer a place where locals could find toys, games, candy and even an awesome tree house room for parties.
We actually spend quite a lot of time at Toy Time because this is where I do my bi-monthly Story Time (2nd and 4th Thursday at 11am). My kids immediately run into the store and stand and stare longingly at the Cobi display. They almost even have a route that they follow each visit. They start at the Cobi display, then move on to the Giant Microbes stuffed toys and then into the candy section where they make their last ditch effort to “get something.”
This week we even discovered a whole Hello Kitty section! We are planning on doing our new baby sister’s room in Hello Kitty so this was a super cool “pfind”!
There is always something “pfun” and new to check out at Toy Time! So if you’re in the area, make sure that you stop by (101- B Pecan St. W)…you won’t be disappointed!
