Free Bowling
Yep, you read that right!
Mel’s Lonestar Lanes in Georgetown, Texas, has a program called Mel’s Kid’s Club.
When you sign up, FOR FREE, each child you register gets 2 free summer bowling games every day through September 30th.
This is so much fun and when it’s 110 in the shade…staying inside is a must!
A friend and I took our kids a few weeks ago.
We managed to walk right in and get a lane, but as the summer goes on and the temps creep up, you may want to call ahead.
My kids had never been bowling. They were a bit crazed for the first 20 min or so we were there.
They ran all over and touched everything and were so excited, but they soon got the hang of things and settled down.
The have the bumpers set up and you can get a ramp to help them get the balls to actually go all the way down.
They were so excited when they were able to actually knock down a few pins.
I’m pretty sure we only played 1 game though…we had a 1 yr old, a 3 yr old, a 4 yr old and a 5 yr old and we may have set a world record for the longest game ever.
We had a snack while we were bowling too and then let the kids pretend to play the video games on the way out.
“Free” turned into about $20 for the entire afternoon, but we could have brought snacks and then it would have only been about $5 for the shoe rental.
Anyway, sign up to receive your free summer bowling pass in an email each week and you are good to go!
Have you ever taken your kids bowling?
