This year my motto is “Proactive not Reactive” and the first step to achieving that is to P-L-A-N.
One of the best ways I’ve found to do that is to be able to see the entire year at a glance by using the NeuYear 2014 Calendar.
This calendar is super cool and can either be hung vertically or horizontally (just flip it over to the other side).
They have 2 options: paper or dry erase and you can choose either the Sunday start or the Monday start.
Making a Plan
I chose the dry erase one and hung it near my office (which is actually a closet…but more on that later.)
I went through all my calendars and the kids’ calendars for all of 2014 and wrote down all the important school dates, birthdays, holidays and commitments I already know that we have.
At the bottom I have a color coding chart too (great excuse to go play in the office supply aisle at the store). In the picture I only have the black for anything family related, but I will also have green for all of my blogging topics for each month and then also can use different colors for other things so I can see at a glance what we all have going on.
I LOVE having everything all out and in one place that I can see in one look.
I love technology and have tried and tried to get my Google calendar to sync with my phone calendar and show up on my computer calendar, but it all seems to either get lost in cyberspace or just confuse me because I can’t see it all at once.
When it comes to calendars…there’s nothing like good old pencil and paper (or dry erase so you can just mark it out).
One lucky winner will get their very own NeuYear 2014 calendar!
How will the NeuYear Calendar help you get organized?
