Pretty sure brussel sprouts are an acquired taste…but with a few little tweaks, you can make sure that you help that process go a bit faster.
I’ve been working on roasting lots of different veggies lately (check out my oven roasted potato fries). It’s such a simple way to include veggies into each meal. They are crispy and perfect…and better yet…my kids will eat them this way!
Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Ingredients
- 1 bag of brussel sprouts (about 12 ounces)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of Italian Seasoning (a premade mix)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the brussel sprouts in half.
- Place the olive oil and Italian Seasoning in a medium sized bowl.
- Put the cut brussel sprouts in the bowl of oil and mix until all are coated.
- Dump the brussel sprouts on the cookie sheet and separate making sure none are touching and they are all cut side down.
- Place in oven for 10 minutes. Check to see if the flat side has started to brown (if not, leave for 5 more minutes).
- Remove from oven and flip to back side.
- Place back in oven for 5-10 more minutes (test with fork to see if done).
- Cool and eat!
