I love all things crafty…but I need a little help since it never seems to come out the way I see it in my head.
I found a site, Ceramics At Home, that offers a free ebook on painting ceramics.
And since I know that I would want to know what’s in it before entering my email, I thought y’all might be the same way too.
So I convinced them to give us a sneak peek just for my readers!
Supplies
• Ceramic to be painted
• Paint
• Dishwashing detergent
• Water
• Container to mix paint, water and soap (small glass with wide rim works best)
• Straw
• Toothpick
Instructions
1. This is fun but messy so use paper towels under your bubble making and be careful of your neighbor. The good news is that ceramic paint washes out of clothing.
2. Mix approximately one ounce of color with 1/2 ounce of water and 1 squirt of dishwashing soap in your container.
3. With your straw blow bubbles until they start to overflow the glass.
4. Take your ceramic piece and place over the bubbles, press gently but avoid contact with the rim of the glass.
5. Pop the bubbles with the toothpick.
6. Repeat until your piece is covered with the bubbles.
7. Another color can be incorporated using the same method. The more bubbles you add the different the texture will be.

Be sure to check out their online store while you’re checking out their site. I’m thinking this might be a great craft for the kids to make for holiday presents!
Have you ever painted ceramics?
Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post. Just thought you might enjoy knowing about it!
