Pete the Cat is totally groovy and if you haven’t read one of his books…you must go find one! He is a cool cat that teaches lessons and sings songs and is just out of sight.
In this latest Pete the Cat book, Santa gets sick and calls Pete the Cat to help out on Christmas Eve. Pete, being the cool cat that he is, jumps in his minibus and gets all the presents delivered just as the sun comes up. Each Pete the Cat book has a repetitive song that encourages children to join in with the story. Also, on the Harper Collins site, they have a recording of each of the stories and songs (helps to listen to these before reading so you know the tune of the said repetitive song) that are free so you can listen to them any time you want.
My kids LOVE these books and will sit down on the floor of where ever we find one (the Library, Target) and insist that I read it to them. The songs are so catchy that they even sing the songs around the house randomly.
