Houdini Dog
Have you ever heard of a puppy bumper?
I must answer the question “What’s that thing on your dog’s neck?” at least once a week.
It’s a $25 piece of magic that keeps my Min. Schnauzer from running away.
We live in a neighborhood where we’re required by the HOA to have wrought iron fences…which are pretty, but offer very little privacy or security….esp for little dogs.
About a year and half ago, we got a 10 month old puppy, Scarlett, who is super cute and super skinny. It took her about a month, but she quickly discovered that she could squeeze right through the fence and go where ever she pleased.
One day my door bell rang FOUR times…each time it was a different neighbor handing me back my little dog.
We had to do something.
Fencing
That next weekend my husband spent over a hundred dollars and at least 3 hours tying plastic fencing around the bottom of our fence to try and keep her in.
The next day we watched as she used the fencing to propel herself through the fence even faster!
So I took to the internet…there had to be a solution.
Puppy Bumper
I found this thing called a Puppy Bumper. It’s basically a pillow with straps that hooks onto her collar and makes her wider…so she can’t fit through the fence.
She thought it was pretty annoying at first…and the 75lb Lab loves that it makes her easier to catch…but she doesn’t really mind it any more.
And for $25…I solved our little problem of the run away dog…which was good because they ended up chewing the plastic fencing off and there’s none left now!
If you have a problem with an escaping dog, I am here to tell you that the Puppy Bumper really works!
