Almost everyone loves a sweet treat…but we all know too much isn’t good for us.
My kids love to have something a little sweet after dinner…and I admit, I use it to try and “convince” them to eat most days.
I came up with this little “treat” for myself when I was pregnant, but now that the kids are older, I decided to share my secret with them.
The trick with this snack is that it can be hard to find yogurt that doesn’t have a ton of sugars. My kids like vanilla yogurt, but I try to look for ones with the least amount of sugar so when you’re at the store…be conscious of that.
This past week I snuck some vanilla Greek yogurt in on them and they never noticed. So try different kinds and see if you can get them to eat healthy and still feel like they’re getting a treat.
Strawberry Granola Yogurt
Our favorite granola is the Kind Peanut Butter Granola, but you can use any variety. And be sure to try my tutorial for homemade yogurt so you can make sure that you know exactly what’s in the yogurt.
- 1-2 strawberries
- 1/3 cup granola
- 1 cup yogurt
- Put yogurt into a bowl.
- Place the granola on top.
- Wash and quarter the strawberries.
- Put the strawberries on top and serve.
