Last week Connor started school at a local charter school.
These schools are smaller and have more control over their day to day lives than large districts, but they give up some of the funding for this privilege.
Because of this, the kids in grades 5-12 are allowed to bring iPads/tablets/devices to school to help access the internet for research purposes.
And although Connor is only in 1st grade, he’s pretty adept at using the iPad already and loves to sneak it and watch Wild Kratts.
Case Logic Tablet Case
My kids LOVE the iPads. The each get to watch one show at night…provided they actually listen and follow directions.
We’ve used the Teach Me app with them to help them work on reading and math skills and they LOVE the Talking Carl app (it repeats all the ridiculous stuff they say. Check out our top 3 most used apps here.
Their favorite thing right now is to look up lists of animals – the top 25 deadliest spiders; the top 25 largest mammals; the 10 largest dinosaurs…you get the picture.
This Case Logic iPad case gives me a little more peace of mind that they aren’t going to destroy the poor iPad while trying to learn all they can from it.
It’s got a nice hard-ish cover and the iPad is secured inside with elastic bands on all 4 corners. Because of the design, it’s a little hard to adjust the volume or charge it, but I think that’s because the case is trying to protect it from moving.
The kids also like being able to set it up so they can watch their favorite videos on YouTube.
One lucky winner will get their very own Case Logic tablet case!
What are your kids’ favorite apps?
Disclosure: I received a free case to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% my own.
