It’s that time of year again…when you load everyone up into the car and go out in search of adventure.
I remember going on long road trips as a kid…of course things were a little more lax back then. We would sit pretty much any where in the car (facing backwards most of the time making faces at the car behind us or trying to get passing semi-trucks to honk their horn).
These days kids have to stay in the exact same spot for hours (thank goodness for iPads and DVD players).
The idea of a long road trip can be quite daunting…lucky for us CarrieElle.com has 35 tips in her Road Trip Resource Guide to make summer a LOT more manageable.
Taking road trips with young kids can be seriously overwhelming. I usually end up doing at least one trip alone with them each summer. (You’d think I would have learned after this first trip from hell.)
Each time I get back, I swear I’ll never do it again…it’s kind of like childbirth though, by the next summer you’ve forgotten ACTUALLY how horrid it was and you sign up to do it again.
Carrie has a great list of resources for everything: choosing where to go, sticking to a budget, entertaining the kids and making a plan of attack.
