Welcome to the Saturday Laughs link up hosted by The Mommyhood Chronicles.

This past week brought amazing weather here in Central Texas. It was in the mid to high 70’s almost every day and we were able to break out the shorts. THIS is why I live here and suffer through the wicked summers.

Here’s a picture I took during one of Connor’s horse back riding lessons.

OK…enough rubbing it in about the weather.

Because Connor takes horse back riding lessons, his cowboy boots are usually by the garage door.

Yesterday we were rushing out the door and he didn’t have his shoes on…and in fact, had no idea where they were because he didn’t take them off by the garage door, like he was told (touchy subject…I think I’ve lost hours of my life looking for kids shoes). So he grabbed his boots and ran out.

I admit, I did know that the child had on shorts and boots, but didn’t think it was worth fighting about…or me going back into the house for a 10 min. hunt for his tennis shoes. So I let it go.

We went to Target to grab a few things and they, of course, talked me into going to the Lego section. (If you haven’t read about their Lego obsession yet, go here.) I talked them down from the actual Legos and into Lego books.

We pay for them and they are so excited about the new books that we can’t even get out of the store because they are stopping to look through them and talk about each picture.

I think it’s cute, so I snap this picture and post it on FB:

Cowboy boots & books

We go about our day and within an hour, I have 10 comments on FB…about the boots. You just never know what will catch people’s eyes.

Do your kids have their own style…or just wear what’s easiest?
