WOW…life has really run away with me!
Last weekend we had 5 school Valentine’s Day parties and a birthday party at our house….I barely survived!
Connor turned 7 and since he’s still REALLY into Star Wars, we had a Star Wars birthday party.
I think I spent so much time worrying about the food that I forgot to buy any decorations or play any of the games I had for them. Oh well, they had fun.
Here’s some pictures of the food we had…
First we had Peanut Butter & Jar-Jar sandwiches because peanut butter and honey is Connor’s favorite lunch food.
Connor loves Goldfish so we combined Cheez-Its and Goldfish for Darth Cheddars.
They are constantly fighting with lightsabers so we got some pretzel sticks to stand in for lightsabers.
You can’t forget the constant struggle between good and evil – so we found white and blue corn chips.
We had some muffins so those became Mustafar Muffins.
By far the favorite treat of the day was the Obi-Wan Kabobbies. I think Maddi sat at the table through the entire party just eating these.
And I worked HARD to make some Star Wars cookies to be used as cupcake toppers…instead of cake decorated all in black icing for Darth Vader (black icing is not pretty on the face).
We also had some colorful bubble wands for lightsabers – it was nice enough for them to go outside and use them.
I also made some fun Star Wars T-shirts for each guest.
All in all it was a very successful birthday party (we also had mimosas for the adults so that took it up another notch!).
Here’s a free printable if you want to print out the food labels for yourself.
I’ll work on a Star Wars cookie tutorial!
