Someone sent my kids some paints for Christmas and now they want to paint anything and everything.
I had to get REAL creative last night before they decided to start painting each other.
That’s when I remembered that I had made some super simple salt dough ornaments last year and those would be a great thing to paint.
These Star Wars salt dough ornaments are even better than the ones we made last year…in my opinion.
Star Wars Salt Dough Ornaments
These are soooo easy…I’m not sure why I don’t do this every week.
You just take 1 cup of salt, 1 cup of flour and 1/2 cup of water.
I do have a few more tips on my original post here that I had forgotten that were a big help.
Then you just microwave for 1-2 minutes, let them cool and paint!
I think these turned out so good because I used these Star Wars Press and Stamp Cookie Cutters.
Then we just used water colors to paint them.
At our house, we have to hang them up high so the dogs don’t eat them, but they’re totally edible (although disgusting) so no worries if they do.

Have you made salt dough ornaments before?
