Kids in the Kitchen - Vampire Chili

I LOVE cookie cutters…almost to the point of obsession, but not quite.

They are fun for more than just cookies…tortillas, sandwiches, cheese, pancakes…the fun is endless.

This Vampire Chili was totally fun to make!

Black Cornbread Headstone – Just mix up a box of cornbread, but add a little black icing gel paste to the mix. Bake it in a bread pan. Once it cools, cut a piece out for each person…use black icing to write on it.  (I used a gluten free cornbread mix.)

Chili – Heat up a can or two of Wolf Brand Chili and place a scoop or two in the bowl. Put the cornbread on one side.

Coffin – Use the coffin cookie cutter to make a cheese coffin. Place it on top.

Kids in the Kitchen

Did you have fun in the “kitchen” this week? Did you try a new food or a new kid friendly restaurant? Did your littlest ones use their snacks to count to 10? We invite you to share your experiences, photos, stories or recipes that include your #kidsinthekitchen.

Come join me and my co-hosts Melinda at Look What Mom Found, Paula at Frosted Fingers and Sara at Sensibly Sara, each week linking up a post, new or old, that feature the theme Kids in the Kitchen. It doesn’t matter what you are doing as long as you are doing it together, enjoying it and learning something along the way.
