candy

Do you remember Ring Pops?  Those cool candy rings with the gigantic “stone”. I remember that we always felt so cool when we managed to score one of those. We’d wear them on our fingers like some sort of princess with a giant diamond ring. I hadn’t seen one of these in years when I found one in my kids Halloween loot. (I, of course, confiscated it as contraband candy.) So it got me to thinking…

can I find any of those classic candies any more?

Here’s what I found:

ring pops

RingPop-Jewel Shaped Hard Candy, 40ct Variety Pack

Again…I LOVED these and so did all my friends.

 candy necklace

Stretchable Candy Jewelry Bracelets (48 pcs)

These and the candy necklaces were some of the messiest candies around. I’m thinking that maybe they forgot to test these before they marketed them. Candy around your neck or wrist that you suck on? I can’t believe that we were ever allowed to have these…but I remember we did! And I remember the random colors your neck/wrist would turn from the wet candy sitting on it. Gross!fun dip

Fun Dip Assorted 48 – 0.5oz Packs

I LOVED this stuff too. It was/is straight sugar on a sugar stick. It was sweet and tart and just plain fun to eat and then compare with your friends what color your tongue had turned.

candy cigarettes

Candy Cigarettes

These were so cool because before you took off the wrapper, you could blow through it and “smoke” would come out the other end! I honestly don’t remember what kind of candy this was…just that you could really “smoke”.

What was your favorite candy as a kid?
