As a mom of young kids I have tons of family themed DVDs…the problem is that they all end up scratched…within days.
Wondershare has heard our collective mom cry of “Don’t touch it” and answered with a cool program that will help.
The Video Converter Ultimate program allows you to back up all those DVDs.
When you first open the program, you get a screen like this.
You choose “Load DVD” while it’s on the “Convert” button.
If it’s your first time to use the program, you may need to download a plugin to help get around some of the encryption on the DVD.
Pop in your DVD and then it will start to analyze it. I choose a Mickey Mouse one so that I could have it on my computer for Maddi for our plane ride home from China.
You will need to choose a format and then hit Convert. It was really pretty simple.
Then you can also transfer it to your phone or tablet. I just opened iTunes and added it. Then sync and sent it to my phone so I have another back up in case the laptop isn’t available.
Now I can back up all those DVDs and not have to flip out when one of the disks gets scratched because I can now burn them to a new DVD for back up.
You can also download YouTube videos and burn/convert them. That’s a much safer option than letting them get on YouTube alone.
