At the beginning of 2013 I made some goals. Now it’s the end of the year and time for some reckoning.
How’d I do?
Well….
Personal and Family Goals for 2013
1. Lose 10-15 lbs…didn’t happen. But I am working on it again and it’s working. I’ve lost 4 lbs in the last week on a clean eating challenge called Body Fuel System. So I have hope for this one for 2014.
2. Adopt a baby…check! We were matched in mid-May and have been home 2 months now. She is a pistol!
3. Weekly family game night…nope probably not happening weekly, but we do play games occasionally. It’s just hard with a toddler around.
Craft, Organization and Business Goals for 2013
1. Master the Silhouette and use it to decorate the house…didn’t happen. I probably used the thing a handful of times. I still love it and long for time to learn how to use it easily…but definitely not including that in my 2014 goals.
2. Stick to a cleaning schedule…that didn’t happen either. But trust me, my goals for 2014 will include a cleaning lady!
3. Use a calendar…I’ve been through a few different systems this past year…some worked better than others and still trying to find the right one. My problem is that I LOVE technology and use the Google calendar, but sometimes it doesn’t sync correctly. Plus I’m still old school enough that I need to see it written out. So I have a dry erase calendar that I write things on in the kitchen plus the Google one and that seems to be working…for now.
4. Grow my blog and online business…that totally happened! I have put a LOT of time, effort and some money into it and it’s now paying me on average about $300 a month….which was my goal.
This blog now has a PageRank from Google of 2 (which sounds low, but 4 would be REALLY hard to get and 10 is Google). I’ve had over 73,000 page views this year. My top post of the year, Gluten Free 4th of July Treat, had over 600 views.
I joined forces with Carrie of CarrieElle.com and Elizabeth of Rockabye Parents.com and created a blog about blogging called The Blogging Bunch. We have over 50 bloggers in a closed Facebook group and are building a community to help new bloggers find their way in the blogosphere.
I studied nonstop and have learned a TON about blogging and internet marketing. I learned how to set up and design websites and have helped quite a few people get their very own blogs! Plus I still love the redesign I did on this blog.
I have some HUGE goals for 2014…but you’ll have to check back after the new year for those!
How’d I do?
