I am on a quest to find a green juice that my kids will drink! This is quite a challenge when it comes to my picky eaters though.
My kids are just like everyone else’s – they LOVE sweets! But I’m really trying to make some BIG changes in their diets (mainly going 100% gluten free and mostly sugar free).
They are fighting me, but since I do most of the shopping…I’m sure I’ll win LOL!
The Perfect Green Juice
Kids are usually pretty good about eating fruit…the natural sugars attract them and satisfy their sweet tooth. That’s why I thought this juice would be perfect!
They love apple juice and this recipe has 2 apples in it, but I have to admit that they took one sniff and ALL turned up their noses. (note: put it in covered cup next time and use a straw)
I did still manage to get them each to take a sip and they were all pleasantly surprised, but still wouldn’t drink more than a sip. So I had a nice refreshing mildly green juice for an afternoon treat!
I will admit that I only used a small .25″ x 1″ piece of ginger since I’m not a big fan and I thought it might turn them off even more. And I will give them that cucumber can be quite strong when juiced. BUT…I will try this one again!
Also, I use an Omega Masticating Juicer. This sucker can juice anything quickly. I LOVE it! Juicing does take a little more time, but I promise once you find a few juice recipes that you love, it will worth the time. You will feel SOO much better within just a few days.
