Starting in September, I’m going to be packing three lunches every day. Although I’m SUPER excited about school starting…I’m a little overwhelmed with the idea of doing this every day for 175 days.
So I think it’s time I teach the boys to pack their own lunches. But as I was thinking about this, I still want to have some control over what they take…and make sure they make healthy lunch choices.
That’s when the idea of a printable lunch choices menu came to me. I give them options and they choose one from each of the boxes.
I’ll do a post in a few weeks (once we get back home) of how I’m organizing each of the areas so they are ready for them assemble.
The top one is just what my kids like to eat. So I thought I’d do a blank one too so you can fill in what your kids like to eat.
The food graphics on this are from Little Red’s School House…super cute!
I hope these help you get your routine flowing easier when school starts!
Kids in the Kitchen
Come join me and my co-hosts, Melinda of LookWhatMomFound…andDadtoo!, Sarah of Play 2 Learn with Sarah, Paula at Frosted Fingers and Sara at Sensibly Sara, each week linking up a post, new or old, that feature the theme Kids in the Kitchen. It doesn’t matter what you are doing as long as you are doing it together, enjoying it and learning something along the way.
- preparing healthy snacks
- having a tea party
- counting skills with m&ms
- pouring from measuring cups
- discovering a local restaurant that your kids love
- creating new family friendly recipes
